The good shepherd:
Jesus says: “I am the good shepherd, and know
my sheep, and am known of mine” (John 10:14).
“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if
it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if
I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto
myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:2-3).
“Fear not, little flock; for it is your
Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32).
“The
LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in
the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy
rod and thy staff they comfort me. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever”
(Psalm 23:1, 3- 4, 6).
