We only have a lifetime:
Before our life began on this earth, we did
not know the time we were to born, neither do we know our appointed time to die
(Job 7:1). As we all have a beginning and an end on this earth (Hebrews 9:27),
so too this earth has a beginning and an end (Acts 17:26). God spoke through prophet
Jeremiah:
“Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her
appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time
of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD” (Jeremiah
8:7).
Since God has appointed the time of
habitation of this earth and that of every life on this earth, we would be best
to seek to obtain that which God has hidden for us before the beginning of
time. This is the most important decision of our lifetime, which we need to be
on time for, because one day time will is coming to a full end (Revelation
10:5-6).
We
are to stay faithful in the right direction. We are not to let the busy traffic
of this lifetime turn us in the wrong direction toward the lusts, pleasures,
and cares of this lifetime. How we maneuver through the traffic in a lifetime
will determine where we end up on the Last Day (Revelation 11:18, 20:12–15).
