There is no fear in Love:
Let us remind ourselves
everyday that our Lord, Savior and King died for humanity (John 3:16-18) (1
Timothy 2:5–6).
For those among us who are
fearful of death or are living in fear to die, and have found comfort in the
deceitful doctrine of the “rapture”, the Apostle Paul said: “Examine
yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your
own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you?” (2 Corinthians 13:5).
“There is no fear in love;
but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth
is not made perfect in love” (1 John 4:18).
Jesus says: “And fear not
them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear
him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew 10:28).
Jesus, in his testimony in
the Book of Revelation also warned that “…the fearful, and unbelieving…,”
“…shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:
which is the second death” (Revelation 21:8).
The Apostle Paul also well
said: “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21).
“Know ye not, that so many
of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was
raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk
in newness of life.
For if we have been planted
together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his
resurrection: Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live
with him” (Romans 6:3-5, 8).
“For none of us liveth to
himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto the
Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or
die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and
revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living” (Romans 14:7-9).
Jesus
also said: “I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen” (Matthew
28:20).
