From mortality to IMMORTALITY:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. And
the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the
glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John
1:1-2, 14).
The Apostle Paul explained how “…God sending
his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the
flesh;...” (Romans 8:2–4).
“The first man is of the earth, earthy: the
second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that
are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And
as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the
heavenly. And so it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul; the
last Adam was made a quickening spirit” (1 Corinthians 15:47–49, 45).
On the Last Day, the Day of Judgment, when Jesus
descends from heaven on the sound of the last trumpet, to live forever, our
frame must be changed from “clay” to “light” to become a quickening spririt (1
Thessalonians 4:16-18); just as our Lord, Savior and King when he was raised from
the dead (Luke 24:39).
“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and
blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit
incorruption” (1 Corinthians 15:50).
“Wherefore God saith: ‘Awake thou that
sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light’”
(Ephesians 5:14).
“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not
all sleep, but we shall all be changed” (1 Corinthians 15:51).
“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at
the [LAST TRUMP]: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised
incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on
incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality” (1 Corinthians
15:52–53).
“Then cometh the end, when he shall have
delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down
all rule and all authority and power” (1 Corinthians 15:24).
