Call upon Jesus to the rescue:
Without any doubt, if a fire broke out in our
home, God forbid, we would immediately call 911 to come to our rescue. Furthermore,
if our house was severely damaged and inhabitable after the fire, God forbid,
and we had a summer cottage some miles away, we would surely go to inhabit that
second home.
Now then, knowing that this heaven and earth
will pass away, any wise and prudent person would seek to get to the next
habitable heaven and earth. Right?
Well, before it is too late, get to know
JESUS because he is the only SAVIOR (John 3:16-18). Just as 911 was called to
the rescue when our house was on fire, God forbid; JESUS is coming to the rescue
on the LAST DAY before fire dissolves this heaven and earth (Isaiah 24:1, 19-20).
“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief
in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and
the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that
are therein shall be burned up” (2 Peter 3:8-10).
“Seeing then that all these things shall be
dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and
godliness, looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein
the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with
fervent heat?” (2 Peter 3:10-12).
“Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for
such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot,
and blameless” (2 Peter 3:14).
“And
I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth
were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new
Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for
her husband” (Revelation 21:1-2).
