The L A S T D A Y is the E N D of the World.
Jesus’ disciples yearn to
know when they asked: “Tell us, when shall these things be; and [WHAT SHALL BE
THE SIGN OF THY COMING, AND OF THE END OF THE WORLD]?” (Matthew 24:3).
“And Jesus answered and said
unto them, ‘Take heed that no man deceive you’” (Matthew 24:4).
“For many shall come in my
name, saying, ‘I am Christ;’ and shall deceive many” (Matthew 24:5).
“‘I am the bread of life: he
that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never
thirst. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he
hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the [LAST
DAY]’” (John 6:32-35, 39).
“I am the resurrection, and
the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And
whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”
(John 11:25-26).
“No man can come to me,
except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the [LAST
DAY]” (John 6:44).
“I am Alpha and Omega, the
beginning and the [ENDING], saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which
is to come, the Almighty” (Revelation 1:8).
“In a moment, in the
twinkling of an eye, at the [LAST TRUMP]: for the trumpet shall sound, and the
dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this
corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality”
(1 Corinthians 15:52–53).
“For the Lord himself shall
descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the
trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive
and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the
Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians
4:16–17).
“Wherefore
comfort one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:18).
