The SECRET to this L I F E T I M E.
“The secret of the LORD is
with them that fear him; Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD
pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we
are dust” (Psalms 25:14, 105: 13-14).
For those who refuse to
choose the fear of the LORD the word of God says:
“When your fear cometh as
desolation and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and
anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer;
they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me. For that they hated knowledge,
and did not choose the fear of the LORD” (Proverbs 1:27–28).
“Let us hear the conclusion
of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole
duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing,
whether it be good, or whether it be evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:13–14).
“By mercy and truth iniquity
is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil” (Proverbs 16:6).
“Who is among you that
feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in
darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay
upon his God” (Isaiah 50:10).
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of
wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise
endureth forever” (Psalm 111:10).
“The fear of the LORD is to
hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I
hate” (Proverbs 7:13).
“The fear of the LORD is the
beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding” (Proverbs
9:10).
“The fear of the LORD
tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be
visited with evil” (Proverbs 19:23).
“The
fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death”
(Proverbs 14:27).
