K I N G D O M of L I G H T (John 3:16-18) or Kingdom of darkness?
We cannot have one foot in
the Kingdom of God and another in this world.
We cannot serve God and at
the same time the devil.
We cannot love God and at
the same time love money.
Jesus says: “No servant can
serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else
he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon”
(Luke 16:13).
We cannot love the word of
God and at the same time the things of this world.
We cannot walk after the
Spirt and at the same time the flesh.
Jesus says: It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh
profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they
are life” (John 6:63).
“Heaven and earth shall pass
away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35).
“There is therefore now no
condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh,
but after the Spirit” (Romans 8:1).
Jesus says: “I am the light
of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have
the light of life” (John 8:12). “As long as I am in the world, I am the light
of the world” (John 9:5).
“And this is the
condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather
than light, because their deeds were evil.
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the
light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the
light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God” (John
3:19-21).
“Be
not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he
also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption;
but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting”
(Galatians 6:7–8).
