Climate Change? or Destruction of the earth (Revelation 11:18)?
In recent years and more so
today, ‘Climate Change’ is being attributed to all the severe weather patterns
and catastrophes around the world: severe hurricanes in the Atlantic, Pacific;
snow falls in the height of summer; record breaking hot temperatures, flash
floods, volcanos, earth quakes and the list goes on.
Is this sign of the coming
end of years?
Surely,
as compared to the past, in this present time these sudden weather disruptions
are more frequent and devastating.
In this present day, our
life appears to be normal; however, we need to remind ourselves that in the
coming last years of time before Jesus’ return, there will be a period when
life as we know it will change in an instant. Many people will be undoubtedly
frightened because Jesus says:
“And there shall be signs in
the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of
nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing
them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the
earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken” (Luke 21:25–26).
However, those with faith having refuge in the Kingdom of God will not be afraid because “Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield” (Psalm 33:20).

“And then shall they see the
Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things
begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your
redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:27-28).
“And the nations were angry,
and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged,
and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the
saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; [AND SHOULDEST DESTROY
THEM WHICH DESTROY THE EARTH]” (Revelation 11:18).
