BELIEVE, TRUST and have FAITH in EVERY word of GOD.
We cannot pick and choose
which words of God to believe because Jesus says: “It is written, that man
shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God” (Luke 4:4).
We cannot believe some words
of God and doubt other words of God; we must believe EVERY word of God! We must
be very careful to not let certain beliefs and doctrines creep into our hearts
to shake our trust and faith in the word of God.
Unfortunately, many people
are still holding on to the belief that they will be “raptured” from this earth
to escape the great period of tribulation. But, what does our Lord, Savior and
King Jesus say:
“And ye shall be betrayed
both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you
shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my
name’s sake. [BUT THERE SHALL NOT A HAIR OF YOUR HEAD PERISH. IN YOUR PATIENCE
POSSESS YE YOUR SOULS]” (Luke 21:16–19).
“[AND FEAR NOT THEM WHICH
KILL THE BODY, BUT ARE NOT ABLE TO KILL THE SOUL]: but rather fear him which is
able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew 10:28).
“Verily, verily, I say unto
you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death (John 8:51).
“Fear none of those things
which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison,
that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful
unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life” (Revelation 2:10).
“The fear of man bringeth a
snare: but whoso putteth his [TRUST] in the LORD shall be safe” (Proverbs
29:25).
“The righteous perisheth,
and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none
considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come” (Isaiah
57:1).
The Apostle Paul very well
said: “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21).
“For
none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live,
we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we
live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ both died,
and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living”
(Romans 14:7-9).
