NEW HEAVENS and a NEW EARTH: PATIENTLY WAIT.
Let us endure this lifetime
to the end.
“While we look not at the things which are
seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are
temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18).
“For we are saved by hope:
but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope
for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it”
(Romans 8:24–25).
“The LORD is good unto them
that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should
both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD” (Lamentations
3:25-26).
“For since the beginning of
the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye
seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him”
(Isaiah 64:4).
“Wait on the LORD: be of
good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD”
(Psalm 27:14).
“For, behold, I create new
heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into
mind” (Isaiah 65:17).
“And they shall build
houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of
them.
They shall not build, and
another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a
tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of
their hands.
They shall not labour in
vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the
LORD, and their offspring with them.
And it shall come to pass,
that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will
hear.
The wolf and the lamb shall
feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be
the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain,
saith the LORD” (Isaiah 65:21-25).
“For as the new heavens and
the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so
shall your seed and your name remain” (Isaiah 66:22).
“Be
ye glad and [REJOICE FOREVER] in that which I create” (Isaiah 65:18).
