JESUS, a refugee?
In a recent article, the
headline reads: “Trump's Spiritual Adviser: Sure, Jesus Was A Refugee, But He
Didn't Do Anything Illegal”.
This person's basis for stating
“…Jesus Was A Refugee…” is taken from Scripture when Jesus was born and his
parents took him into Egypt (read Matthew 2:13-15).
The article points out as quoted:
“For many Christians, the fact that the founder of their faith was a refugee
means that they are called to welcome and serve migrants and refugees today.”
“But according to Paula
White, spiritual adviser to President Donald Trump, that’s not the right way to
interpret this Biblical story. White claimed that although Jesus was a refugee,
he didn’t cross borders illegally.”

It is not correct analogy to
say: “Jesus Was A Refugee, But He Didn't Do Anything Illegal” or “Jesus was a
refugee, he didn’t cross borders illegally”.
Firstly, it is a bit
farfetched to put JESUS, the only begotten Son of God within the context on
today’s refugee crisis where within this world’s system there are established
borders for countries with requirements for passage across borders.
When an angel of God is
somewhere on this earth, are they here illegally? Specifically, if an angel of
God shows up in a major US city, did this angel cross the border illegally?
When JESUS returns on the Last
Day and steps onto the Mount of Olives (Zechariah 14:8–9, 4), will he be there
illegally ?
NO!
Who does this earth belong
to?
GOD. “IN the beginning God
created the heaven and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). “For all the earth is mine”
(Exodus 19:5).
JESUS is the only begotten
Son of God, and he does not need permission from Lucifer, the prince of this
world, the Devil, aka Satan to go any where in this earth. Neither do the
angels of God. JESUS and so are the angels of God are from HEAVEN. The heavens
do rule (Daniel 4:26).
“The LORD hath prepared his
throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all” (Psalm 103:19).
Jesus reminds us of one of
God’s commandments when he was here on earth, saying: “Thou shalt love thy
neighbour as thyself” (Matthew 19:19).
Surely, if there are people
fleeing for their life from a country into a neighbouring country for refuge,
that country must do their utmost to help feed, cloth and house those Refugees.
“Love worketh no ill to his
neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law” (Romans 13:10).
Every human being must keep
at the forefront of our daily lives that this Heaven and Earth belongs to God,
and be reminded as it is written:
“For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not
his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him
might be saved” (John 3:16-17).
