FAITH.
“While we look not at the
things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things
which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2
Corinthians 4:18).
“For since the beginning of
the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye
seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him”
(Isaiah 64:4).
“For we know that the whole creation
groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but
ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves
groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our
body. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a
man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then
do we with patience wait for it” (Romans 8:22-25).
“Now faith is the substance
of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).
