“All scripture is given by
inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).
“Knowing this first, that no
prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy
came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were

“For precept must be upon
precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little,
and there a little” (Isaiah 28:10).
“We can do nothing against
the truth, but for the truth” (2 Corinthians 13:8).
“But if ye have bitter
envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For
where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work” (James
3:14–16).
“The fear of the LORD is to
hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way” (Proverbs 8:13).
“The fear of the LORD is
clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous
altogether” (Psalm 19:9).
“The
fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and
instruction” (Proverbs 1:7).
