We only have a lifetime on this earth:
The word of God is very clear when it says:
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”
(Hebrews 9:27).
“For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?” (Psalm 6:5).
“Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works. For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest” (Ecclesiastes 9:7, 5 10).
On the Day of Judgment, the word of God says: “And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt” (Daniel 12:2).
Jesus says: “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be” (Revelation 22:12).
