Great Day of the Lord:
“NOW we beseech you, brethren, by the coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our [GATHERING] together unto him, That ye be
not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by
letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand” (2 Thessalonians
2:1-2).
“For the great day of his wrath is come; and
who shall be able to [STAND]?” (Revelation 6:17).
“The sun shall be turned into darkness, and
the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD
shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as
the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call” (Joel
2:31-32).
“Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye
may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and
to [STAND] before the Son of man” (Luke 21:36).
Jesus
says: “Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his
garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame” (Revelation 16:15).
