Preserve body and soul:
The Apostle Paul reminded us said: “Now the
body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. Flee
fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that
committeth fornication sinneth against his own body” (1 Corinthians 6:13).
“Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let
every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband” (1
Corinthians 7:2). Paul, the apostle also wrote about the unmarried and widows,
said: “If they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than
to burn” (1 Corinthians 7:8-9).
“Abstain
from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and
I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the
coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:22-23).
