Good Friday: Jesus was given vinegar instead of water to drink

Every day of our lives when we drink a glass of water especially when we are thirty, let us be reminded how much our Lord Jesus sacrificed for us on that day.

On the day our Lord Jesus was crucified, it was a very hot day.  As he suffered in the heat assuredly he needed a drink of water; however, “They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink” (Matthew 27:34).

PERFECT PEACE. Irrespective of what is taking place and will happen in the future in this world we must TRUST IN GOD to keep ourselves in PERFECT PEACE.

“Thou wilt keep him in [PERFECT PEACE, WHOSE MIND IS STAYED ON THEE]: because he [TRUSTETH] in thee” (Isaiah 26:3). Our Lord Jesus says: “LET not your heart be troubled: [YE BELIEVE IN GOD, BELIEVE ALSO IN ME]” (John 14:1). “If a man [LOVES ME, HE WILL KEEP MY WORDS]: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him” (John 14:23). “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have [PEACE]. [IN THE WORLD YE SHALL HAVE TRIBULATION]: but be of [GOOD CHEER]; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). “[PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU, MY PEACE I GIVE UNTO YOU]: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.   GOD is a LIVING GOD: “[FOR HE IS NOT A GOD OF THE DEAD, BUT OF THE LIVING]: for all live unto him” (Luke 20:38). GOD GAVE HUMANS THE BREATH OF LIFE, BUT THEN CAME DEATH. At the apex of time, Adam and Eve did not BELIEVE the word of GOD: the TRUTH (Genesis 2:16-17, 3:2–3) and instead believed the LIES of the devil, aka Satan (Genesis 3:4), that “crooked serpent” (Job 26:10). As a consequence ALL human beings were CONDEMNED TO DEATH. However, God then sent his only begotten Son Jesus, at the right time, in the fullness of time, to bring and to spread the WORD OF LIFE: “[THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE]” (John 3:15).
