Kingdom of Heaven
We must not be deceived by money to
accumulate riches in this world. “For the love of money is the root of all
evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and
pierced themselves through with many sorrows” (1 Timothy 6:10).
Let us live by the example of our Lord,
Savior and King, Jesus when he was offered the kingdoms of this world by the
devil, said: “Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the
Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve” (Matthew 4:10).
The devil, aka Satan was a liar, a thief and a
murderer from the beginning because Jesus expressed how, “He was a murderer
from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in
him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the
father of it” (John 8:44).
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, “He that
entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way,
the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the
shepherd of the sheep’” (John 10:1-2).
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and
to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they
might have it more abundantly. I am the
good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep” (John
10:10-11).
In
the end the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our Lord Jesus
Christ: “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven,
saying, ‘The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of
his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever’” (Revelation 11:15).
