God is Light:
“God hath spoken once; twice have I heard
this; that power belongeth unto God” (Psalm 62:11).
“No man hath seen God at any time; the only
begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him” (John
1:18).
“For there is one God, and one mediator
between God and men, the man Christ Jesus: who gave himself a ransom for all,
to be testified in due time” (1 Timothy 2:5–6).
“Jesus cried and said, ‘He that believeth on
me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth
him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on
me should not abide in darkness’” (John 12:44–46).
“This
then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God
is light, and in him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5).
