Heaven is Home:
“Hath not God chosen the poor of this world
rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that
love him?” (James 2:5).
“Therefore we are always confident, knowing
that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord” (2
Corinthians 5:6–7).
The Apostle Paul reminded us, said: “I
beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your
bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable
service” (Romans 12:1).
“Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the
very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and
soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ”
(1 Thessalonians 5:22-23).
“For the Lord himself shall descend from
heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of
God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and
remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in
the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17).
“Wherefore comfort one another with these
words” (1 Thessalonians 4:18).
