“For surely there is an end” (Proverbs 23:18).
How we maneuver through the traffic in this lifetime will determine where we end up on the Last Day.
Jesus says: “‘If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me’” (Matthew 16:24).
We are to stay focused in the right direction.
We are not to let the busy traffic of this lifetime turn us in the wrong
direction toward the lusts, pleasures, and cares of this life. “For if after
they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the
latter end is worse with them than the beginning” (2 Peter 2:20).
Jesus
says: “He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth
him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the Last Day”
(John 12:48).
