GREAT TRIBULATION:
For those of us alive when
this time of sorrows begins, life as it was will be turned completely upside
down, and as a result, some people may lose hope and believe that life is over.
Many people will long for the days when life was normal. But, “say not thou,
‘What is the cause that the former days were better than these?’ For thou dost
not inquire wisely concerning this” (Ecclesiastes 7:10). Jesus made it very
clear and said, “These things must come to pass” (Luke 21:9) before time comes
to an end.
“Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he
that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about. Be glad in the LORD,
and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart”
(Psalm 32:10–11).
“Immediately after the tribulation of those
days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the
stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all
the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the
clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Matthew 24:29-30).
“Watch
therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come” (Matthew 24:42). “But
of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my
Father only” (Matthew 24:36).
