“The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree:..” (Psalm 92:12).
As difficult as it maybe to awake every morning,
even to the sound of an alarm clock, keep in our hearts, minds and souls why
King Jesus came to this earth. He said: “I am come that they might have life,
and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). Our best life is not
now and will never be on this earth.
Now, looking at God’s creations on this earth
such as a perfect beach setting, imagining a weekend or vacation getaway; we
can only try to imagine what God has prepared in the new heavens and earth to
come at the end of time (Isaiah 65:17-18) (Revelation 21:1-2).
“Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised
in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness; God will establish it
forever” (Psalm 48:1, 8).
We must pray every day to endure this lifetime
and to grow and flourish as the palm tree (Psalm 92:12) to one day inherit eternal
life in the Paradise of God (Revelation 2:7).
