“Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
In our present time, with the constant
barrage of media in everyday life, we need to obtain firsthand the knowledge of
the word of God so we do not fall prey to fear, fables, and fairy tales distracting
us to be totally obedient to the word of God.
Today, a few words of comfort to those who
are unemployed, in financial distress, lonely, weary, frightened about life
circumstances or simply disillusioned about life: Let us be reminded what Paul, the apostle
said: “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
Many throughout time have doubted and said,
in essence, “This is easier said than done.” However, Jesus emphasized, “And I
say unto you, ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock,
and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he
that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened” (Luke
11:9–10).
Be
strong and pray to God in Jesus’ name. Also, be reminded what Jesus also said:
“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in
truth” (John 4:23–24).
