SAVED always SAVED?
Many have beliefs and there
are doctrines which preach along the lines, saying: “Once saved always saved”.
Jesus says: “No man, having
put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God”
(Luke 9:62). “But he that shall [ENDURE
UNTO THE END], the same shall be saved” (Matthew 24:13).
Once we come to the
knowledge of the Truth by the word of God, we are not to look back on this
earth to the lusts, pleasures, and pride of life, in other words, the
pollutions of this world. Peter, a disciple of Jesus said:
“For if after they have
escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter
end is worse with them than the beginning” (2 Peter 2:20).
“Now the just shall live by
faith: but if any man draws back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we
are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the
saving of the soul” (Hebrews 10:38–39).
“Take heed, brethren, lest
there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living
God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you
be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of
Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto [THE END]”
(Hebrews 3:12-14).
