Jerusalem was the center place
at beginning and will be the ending.
“O Jerusalem, wash thine
heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain
thoughts lodge within thee?” (Jeremiah 4:14).
JESUS, after he was raised
from the dead, appeared in the midst of a room where his eleven disciples were
assembled (Luke 24: 36-44).
“Then opened he their
understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them,
Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the
dead the third day:
And that repentance and
remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, [BEGINNING
AT JERUSALEM].
And ye are witnesses of
these things” (Luke 24:45-48).
Prior to his crucifixion,
death and resurrection when he was gathered with his disciples in Jerusalem,
they wanted to know the sign of his coming and the End of the World.
“And as he sat upon the
mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when
shall these things be? and [WHAT SHALL BE THE SIGN OF THY COMING, AND OF THE
END OF THE WORLD]?” (Matthew 24:3).
“And Jesus answered and said
unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name,
saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many” (Matthew 24:4-5).
“And this gospel of the
kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and
then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14).
“[WHEN YE THEREFORE SHALL
SEE THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION], spoken of by Daniel the prophet, [STAND IN
THE HOLY PLACE], (whoso readeth, let him understand:)” (Matthew 24:15).
“And [WHEN YE SHALL SEE
JERUSALEM COMPASSED WITH ARMIES], then know that the desolation thereof is
nigh” (Luke 21:20)
“Then let them which be in
Judæa flee into the mountains” (Matthew 24:16).
“[FOR THEN SHALL BE GREAT
TRIBULATION], such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time,
no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should
no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened”
(Matthew 24:15-16, 21-22).
“[IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE
TRIBULATION] of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not
give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the
heavens shall be shaken: [AND THEN SHALL APPEAR THE SIGN OF THE SON OF MAN IN
HEAVEN]: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see
the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Matthew
24:29-30).
“Behold, he cometh with
clouds; and [EVERY EYE SHALL SEE HIM], and they also which pierced him: and all
kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen” (Revelation
1:7).
