LIFETIME OFFERS: GOD or world?
GOD’s
offer is ETERNAL LIFE:
“For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not
his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him
might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that
believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of
the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:16-18).
Jesus,
the only begotten Son also expressed to his disciples who follows him will in
addition to Eternal Life obtain a hundredfold more of that which was forsaken
in this world (Matthew 19:27). As it is written:
“And
Jesus said unto them, ‘Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me,
in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory,
ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And
every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or
mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, [SHALL RECEIVE AN
HUNDREDFOLD, AND SHALL INHERIT EVERLASTING LIFE]. But many that are first shall
be last; and the last shall be first” (Matthew 19:28-30).
Satan’s
offer is the world: Whenever the prince of this world, the devil, aka Satan
comes around promising anything in exchange for bowing down and worshipping
him; remember the time he took Jesus up to a high mountain and showed him the
kingdoms of this world, and said: “All these things will I give thee, if thou
wilt fall down and worship me” (Matthew 4:9).
Jesus
said; ”Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord
thy God, and him only shalt thou serve” (Matthew 4:10).
“For
what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own
soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mark 8:36-37). “No
servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the
other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve
God and mammon” (Luke 16:13).
“For
the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God” (1 Corinthians 3:19). "And the
world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God
abideth for ever” (1 John 2:17).
