LOVERS of GOD with Longsuffering or lovers of pleasures in the world.
Let
us recall the Apostle Paul said:
“This
know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be
lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient
to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false
accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors,
heady, highminded, [LOVERS OF PLEASURES MORE THAN LOVERS OF GOD]; having a form
of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away” (2 Timothy
3:1–5).
“Therefore,
my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work
of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord”
(1 Corinthians 15:58).
“For
I reckon that the [SUFFERINGS OF THIS PRESENT TIME] are not worthy to be [COMPARED
WITH THE GLORY] which shall be revealed in us” (Romans 8:18).
“[WHEN
CHRIST, WHO IS OUR LIFE, SHALL APPEAR, THEN SHALL YE ALSO APPEAR WITH HIM IN
GLORY]” (Colossians 3:4).
“Put
on therefore, as the [ELECT OF GOD], holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness,
humbleness of mind, meekness, [LONGSUFFERING];
Forbearing
one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any:
even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And [ABOVE ALL THESE THINGS PUT ON
CHARITY], which is the bond of [PERFECTNESS]” (Colossians 3:12-15).
“Herein
is [OUR LOVE MADE PERFECT], that we may have boldness in the [DAY OF JUDGMENT]:
because as he is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17).
