GOD, the LORD, the FATHER is the ONLY POWER.
GOD,
the LORD, the FATHER is the ONLY POWER.
Therefore,
we fear no one or nothing but the LORD.
“Thus
saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the
LORD is his name” (Jeremiah 33:2).
“Come,
ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD” (Psalm
35:11).
“The
fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and
the froward mouth, do I hate” (Proverbs 7:13).
“The
fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is
understanding” (Proverbs 9:10).
“The
fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he
shall not be visited with evil” (Proverbs 19:23).
“By
mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from
evil” (Proverbs 16:6).
“The
fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death”
(Proverbs 14:27).
“Behold,
the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his
mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our
soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. For our heart shall
rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. Let thy mercy, O
LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee” (Psalm 33:18-22).
“Let
all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe
of him” (Psalm 33:8). “Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling”
(Psalm 2:11).
“Work
out your own salvation with fear and trembling that ye may approve things that
are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of
Christ” (Philippians 2:12, 1:10).
“THE
LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength
of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1).
Jesus
Christ, only begotten of the Father (John 1:14) says: “Fear not, little flock;
for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32).
“It
is good that thou shouldest take hold of this; yea, also from this withdraw not
thine hand: for he that feareth God shall come forth of them all” (Ecclesiastes
7:18).
