Knowledge of the Truth
“Do not judge a book by its cover” is a is
well known slogan:
“Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and
read” (Isaiah 34:16).
“The LORD gave the word: great was the
company of those that published it” (Psalm 68:11).
“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the
Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old
time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the
Holy Ghost” (2 Peter 1:19–21).
“All scripture is given by inspiration of
God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).
“Receive my instruction, and not silver; and
knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all
the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it” (Proverbs
8:10–11).
Jesus says: “Heaven and earth shall pass
away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35).
“Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in
heaven” (Psalm 119:89).
