Knowledge of the truth
We must all take the time to do as the word
of God instructs us to as it is written: “Seek ye out of the book of the LORD,
and read” (Isaiah 34:16). “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the
Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old
time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the
Holy Ghost” (2 Peter 1:19–21).
“All scripture is given by inspiration of
God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).
“For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line,
line upon line; here a little, and there a little” (Isaiah 28:10).
“For this is good and acceptable in the sight
of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the
knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:3-4).
