“All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:8).
Every day we awake in this world, there are
dark clouds forming over the horizons on all corners on this earth building up
to a “perfect storm” when life as we know it will be changed drastically: Jesus
said: “Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things
which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken”
(Matthew 21:26). “All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:8).
“Say not thou, What is the cause that the
former days were better than these? For thou dost not inquire wisely concerning
this” (Ecclesiates 7:10).
Jesus tells us to not fear when he says: “And
ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all
these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet” (Matthew 24:5).
Let us stand firm in our faith knowing as it
is written: “God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power
belongeth unto God” (Psalm 62:11).
