“What is the future?”
Throughout
time, the need to know about the future has preoccupied humankind. Many people
have tried to predict the future to tell us about our life.
There
is no further information for us to obtain beyond the word of God about our
life on this earth. As it has been from the beginning of time to this present
day, none of us are forced to believe the word of God. But we need to be
mindful of the consequences of our decision just as the in the old time of people
of Nineveh (Jonah 1:1–2, 3:5).
Unfortunately,
today, many among us still shun the word of God, and instead, just as many
among the generations of the children of Israel did in the old time, by going to astrologers,
prognosticators, and other persons using methodology being eschewed to predict
the future (Deuteronomy 18:10–12).
We
must not use astrology or such methodologies or inquire using familiar spirits
to try to tell us of our lifetime. Instead we must TRUST in GOD and the word of
GOD: word of FAITH.
“Jesus
Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8) says: “It is
written, that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God”
(Luke 4:4).
“Therefore
take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or,
Wherewithal shall we be clothed?” (Matthew 6:28-31). “But seek ye [FIRST THE
KINGDOM OF GOD], and [HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS]; and [ALL THESE THINGS] shall be added
unto you” (Matthew 6:34, 33).
“Nevertheless
when the Son of man cometh, shall he [FIND FAITH ON THE EARTH]?” (Luke 18:8).
“Now
faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”
(Hebrews 11:1).
“Now
the just shall live by faith: but if any man draws back, my soul shall have no
pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of
them that believe to the saving of the soul” (Hebrews 10:38–39).
“The
LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. Seek
the LORD, and ye shall live” (Amos 5:6).
“For
since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither
hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that
waiteth for him” (Isaiah 64:4).
