2019: Now what?
Now
that the festivities have ended;
Now
that the fireworks have finished;
Now
that that the parties have faded;
Now
that the drunkardness has worn off;
Now
what?
Now,
hear the word of God:
“For
all the earth is mine” (Exodus 19:5).
“The
sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. The earth is the
Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein”
(Psalms 95:5, 24:1).
“O
earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD” (Jeremiah 22:29).
“For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not
his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him
might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth
not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only
begotten Son of God” (John 3:16-18).
“For
there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus:
who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time” (1 Timothy
2:5–6).
“Jesus
Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8) says: “The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom
of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15).
“And
this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness
unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14).
“Except
ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).
“For
I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent
me” (John 6:38).
“Heaven
and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew
24:34–35).
