NEW H E A V E N S and a NEW E A R T H.
“While
we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen:
for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen
are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18).
“For
since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear,
neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him
that waiteth for him” (Isaiah 64:4).
“The
LORD hath prepared his [THRONE IN THE HEAVENS]; and his kingdom ruleth over
all” (Psalm 103:19).
“For
thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy;
‘I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and
humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of
the contrite ones’” (Isaiah 57:15).
“Mine
eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he
that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me” (Psalm 101:6).
“AND
I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth
were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new
Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for
her husband. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things
new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful”
(Revelation 21:1-2, 5).
“And
the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the
glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations
of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the
earth do bring their glory and honour into it. And the gates of it shall not be
shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there” (Revelation 21: 23-25)
“And
there shall be no more curse: but [THE THRONE OF GOD AND OF THE LAMB] shall be
in it; and his servants shall serve him:
And
they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there
shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for
the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
And
he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the
holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must
shortly be done” (Revelation 22:3-6).
