GOD is the ONLY POWER and GOD has given ALL POWER TO his ONLY begotten SON, JESUS CHRIST: The WORD of God.
“God
hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God” (Psalm
62:11).
“In
the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt
among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the
Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1:1-2, 14).
“For
there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus:
who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time” (1 Timothy
2:5–6).
To
live forever God has this POWER ONLY to Jesus. After Jesus was raised from the
dead after his crucifixion, he told his disciples, saying: “All power is given
unto me in heaven and in earth” (Matthew 28:18).
“These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee. [AS THOU HAST GIVEN HIM POWER OVER ALL FLESH, THAT HE SHOULD GIVE ETERNAL LIFE TO AS MANY AS THOU HAST GIVEN HIM]. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent” (John 17:1-3).
“For
as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son
quickeneth whom he will. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all
judgment unto the Son: That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour
the Father. He that honoureth not the Son
honoureth
not the Father which hath sent him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that
heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and
shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life” (John
5:21-24).
“He
that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” (John 8:36).
“I
am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen;
and have the keys of hell and of death” (Revelation 1:18).
