Fear GOD:
Many
people may understand and even find these words incomprehensible. However, What does it mean to 'Fear GOD'?
The
Holy Scriptures says:
“The
fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they
that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever” (Psalm 111:9-10).
To
live in fear of God is to live in hope and faith for the salvation of God.at
the end of time.
“Let
us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his
commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work
into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be
evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:13–14).
“For
we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may
receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it
be good or bad” (2 Corinthians 5:10).
Jesus
says: “If thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments” (Matthew 19:17):
“‘Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not
steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother:
and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” (Matthew 18-23).
The
Apostle Paul further explained said: “Owe no man any thing, but to love one
another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
For
this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal,
Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any
other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou
shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour:
therefore love is the fulfilling of the law” (Romans 13:8-10).
“Blessed
are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of
life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs,
and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever
loveth and maketh a lie” (Revelation 22:14-15).
“And
there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither
whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in
the Lamb’s book of life” (Revelation 21:27).
“The
fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death”
(Proverbs 14:27).
“It
is good that thou shouldest take hold of this; yea, also from this withdraw not
thine hand: for he that feareth God shall come forth of them all” (Ecclesiastes
7:18).
