R E D E M P T I O N: Wait on the LORD.
“Our
soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield” (Psalm 33:20).
“The
LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is
good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the
LORD” (Lamentations 3:25-26).
“Little
children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come,
even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time”
(1 John 2:18). “For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not
that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist”
(2 John 1:7).
“Let
no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come
a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is
worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself
that he is God” (2 Thessalonians 2:3–4).
Jesus
gave us the sign when the antichrist will come, saying: “When ye shall see the
abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it
ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judæa
flee to the mountains” (Mark 13:14).
“And
when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the
desolation thereof is nigh. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to
pass, know ye that the Kingdom of God is nigh at hand; then look up, and lift
up your heads; for your [REDEMPTION] draweth nigh” (Luke 21:20, 31, 28).
