SPIRIT OF TRUTH or spirit of error?
“We
are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not
us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error” (1 John
4:6-7).
“They
are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth
them” (1 John 4:5).
“Marvel
not, my brethren, if the world hate you” (1 John 3:13).
Jesus,
our Lord, Savior and King says: “The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth,
because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil” (John 7:7).
“If
the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of
the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world,
but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you” (John
15:18-19).
“Beloved,
let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born
of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his
only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him” (1 John 4:8-9).
“Now
if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be
in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of
righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead
dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your
mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:9-11).
“Ye
are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that
is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4).
