We must do our best to keep CONTROL of our SPIRIT.
We
have no need to argue, shout, scream, threaten or fight when we have been done
wrong by others or do not get our way in any situation.
“He
that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated”
(Proverbs 14:17).
“He
that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and [HE THAT RULETH HIS SPIRIT
THAN HE THAT TAKETH A CITY]” (Proverbs 16:32).
“Be
ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give
place to the devil” (Ephesians 4:26-27).
“An
angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression. A
man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit”
(Proverbs 29:22-23).
“Examine
yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your
own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you?” (2 Corinthians 13:5).
“Now
if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be
in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of
righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead
dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your
mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:9-11).
“If
we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit” (Galatians 5:24).
“And
the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and
soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ”
(1 Thessalonians 5:23).
