GOD’S GLORY OF LIGHT or vain glory?
A
day does not pass by in this world with a headline about a “video goes viral”.
Do
not not be deceived by vain glory in this world because the word of God says: “Love not the world,
neither the things that are in the world” (1 John 2:15). “For the wisdom of
this world is foolishness with God” (1 Corinthians 3:19).
The
Apostle Paul well said: “Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one
another, envying one another” (Galatians 5:26).
“For
if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth
himself” (Galatians 6:3).

“God
hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God”
(Psalm 62:11).
“Thus
saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the
mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But
let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that
I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in
the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD” (Jeremiah 9:23-24).
God
has give all power to his only begotten Son Jesus Christ, the one and only
Savior (John 3:16-18) who says: “All power is given unto me in heaven and in
earth” (Matthew 28:18). “For
thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen” (Matthew
6:13).
“Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:6–7).
“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:6–7).
“For
I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared
with the [GLORY] which shall be revealed in us” (Romans 8:18).
“Wherefore
he saith: ‘Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall
give thee light’” (Ephesians 5:14).
“I
Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I
am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
He
which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so,
come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen”
(Revelation 22:16-21).
