What TIME is it?
Jesus says: “The time is
fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the
gospel” (Mark 1:15).
“And this gospel of the
kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and
then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14).
“And that, knowing the time,
that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer
than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us
therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of
light” (Romans 13:11-12).
“Therefore let us not sleep,
as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the
night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are
of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an
helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to
obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:6-9).
“For as the lightning cometh
out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of
the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:27).
“Watch therefore, for ye
know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh” (Matthew
25:13).
“Take
ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. Watch ye therefore:
for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight,
or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you
sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch” (Mark 13:33, 35-37).
