Where is God?
“No man hath seen God at any
time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath
declared him” (John 1:18).
“But without faith it is impossible
to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he
is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Hebrews 11:6).
“For thus saith the high and
lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; ‘I dwell in the high
and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive
the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones’”
(Isaiah 57:15).
“LORD, thou hast been our
dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or
ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to
everlasting, thou art God” (Psalm 90:1-2).
“The LORD hath prepared his
throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all” (Psalm 103:19).
“There is a river, the
streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles
of the most High” (Psalm 46:4).
“Glorious things are spoken
of thee, O city of God. Selah” (Psalm 87:3).
In
John’s vision by the angel of God he wrote: “And he shewed me a pure river of
water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the
Lamb. And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither
whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in
the Lamb’s book of life” (Revelation 22:1, 21:27).
