E D E N. PARADISE of GOD. TREE OF L I F E.
At the very beginning of
time when God created male and female, Adam and Eve, they both disobeyed God
and ate of the tree of knowledge good and evil (Genesis 2:8-8-25, 3:1-21).
“And the LORD God said,
Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he
put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for
ever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till
the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at
the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned
every way, to keep the way of the tree of life” (Genesis 3:22-24).
“THE Revelation of Jesus
Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must
shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his
servant John:
Who bare record of the word
of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. Blessed
is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep
those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand” (Revelation
1:1-3).
“He that hath an ear, let
him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I
give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God”
(Revelation 2:7-8).
“AND he shewed me a pure
river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God
and of the Lamb.
In the midst of the street of
it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare
twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of
the tree were for the healing of the nations.
And there shall be no more
curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants
shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their
foreheads.
And there shall be no night
there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God
giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
And he said unto me, These
sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his
angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done”
(Revelation 22:1-6).
