Most HIGH GOD: KING of H E A V E N.
“God hath spoken once; twice
have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God” (Psalm 62:11).
During the world kingdom of
Babylon, king Nebuchadnezzar when his heart was lifted up came to learn the
hard way that the Most High God rules over all (Daniel 4:28-36). As it is
written:
“Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise
and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his
ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase” (Daniel 4:37).
“For whosoever exalteth
himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted” (Luke
14:11).
“Let every soul be subject
unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be
are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the
ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation” (Romans
13:1–2).
“Humble yourselves therefore
under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: casting all
your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:6–7).
