G O D.
Three MOST HIGH letters that
make up the word that tells ALL.
We live in a world where
there is seemingly a disconnect from GOD: The Almighty.
In this world, throughout
generations, many have proclaimed unashamedly, “We do not need God because we
are successful; why do we need him?” Even in this present day, many continue to
exclaim, “We do not need God; we have everything we need”! “Therefore they say
unto God, depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways” (Job
21:14).
The question that was asked
in Job’s time, and is still being asked today, is “What is the Almighty that we
should serve him? And what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?” (Job
21:17).
“Touching the Almighty, we
cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty
of justice: he will not afflict. Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not
any that are wise of heart” (Job 37:23–24).
“The LORD knoweth the
thoughts of man, that they are vanity. Man is like to vanity: his days are as a
shadow that passeth away” (Psalms 94:11, 144:4).
“The grass withereth, the
flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the
people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our
God shall stand for ever” (Isaiah 40:7-8).
“Before
the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the
world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God” (Psalm 90:2).
