Deceitfulness of S I N.
“Take heed, brethren, lest
there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living
God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you
be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of
Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end”
(Hebrews 3:12-14).
“Now the body is not for
fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. Flee fornication.
Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth
fornication sinneth against his own body” (1 Corinthians 6:13).
“Nevertheless, to avoid
fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own
husband” (1 Corinthians 7:2). Paul, the apostle also wrote about the unmarried
and widows, said: “If they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to
marry than to burn” (1 Corinthians 7:8-9).
“For, behold, the day cometh
that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly,
shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of
hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch” (Malachi 4:1). “Even
as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving
themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth
for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire” (Jude 1:7).
