TEMPLE of GOD.
“Now the body is not for
fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. Flee fornication.
Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth
fornication sinneth against his own body” (1 Corinthians 6:13).
“For we must all appear
before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done
in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad” (2
Corinthians 5:10).
“Know ye not that ye are the
temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile
the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which
temple ye are” (1 Corinthians 3:16–17).
Paul, the Apostle to the
Gentiles, said: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that
ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is
your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good,
and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:1-2).
