TRUE GOD versus False gods.
TRUE
GOD versus False gods.
“I
AM the LORD thy God. Thou shalt have no other gods before me” (Exodus 20:2–3).
“I
am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me” (Isaiah 45:5).
“For
the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all
gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens”
(Psalm 96:4–5).
“But
the LORD is the [TRUE GOD]; he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his
wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his
indignation. Thus shall ye say unto them, the gods that have not made the
heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under
these heavens” (Jeremiah 10:10–11).
“GOD
standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods” (Psalm
82:1).
“God
is the LORD, which hath shewed us light:” (Psalm 118:27).
“This
then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God
is light, and in him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5).
“Every
good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father
of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James
1:17).
“For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
“These
words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour
is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee. As thou hast given
him power over all flesh, that he should give [ETERNAL LIFE] to as many as thou
hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the [ONLY
TRUE GOD], and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent” (John 17:1-3).
